The WE Foundation

Welcome to Korecept, where community isn’t just a word—it’s a vibrant ecosystem of support, collaboration, and
empowerment. At Korecept, we understand the intrinsic value of community, and that’s why we’re proud to partner
with The WE Foundation (TWF) to amplify our impact and extend our reach.

The We Foundation (TWF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to transforming underprivileged families in India through healthcare, livelihoods, education and green energy. Their initiatives focus on health and nutrition, water, sanitation, hygiene (WASH), livelihood development, and emergency preparedness and response. TWF collaborates with the Government and corporate sectors to ensure that global and national commitments result in localized actions, striving towards the goal of leaving no one behind. The organization envisions a society where development projects emphasize family transformation and where the production and consumption by families are grounded in the four pillars of sustainability: human, social, economic, and environmental.

Focus

Health and Nutrition:TWF addresses malnutrition in children, focuses on cancer patient care, enhances accessibility through mobile units, develops health infrastructure, conducts health camps, and responds to emergencies like COVID-19. TWF’s programmes integrate high-risk assessment and evidence-based strategies.

Education: From early childhood education to supporting school-going children, TWF emphasizes  empowerment through education and helps in imparting quality  education to the underprivileged. The We Foundation’s initiatives extend to creating happy schools, establishing STEM labs, and providing career guidance for higher secondary and college students. TWF strives to ensure every child has the opportunity to thrive despite challenges, breaking the cycle of poverty through education.

Livelihood: The We Foundation believes that establishing sustainable livelihoods is crucial for the social inclusion of underprivileged women and youth. Our focus spans various areas, including enhancing youth employability through career counseling and industry-oriented training, promoting entrepreneurship among women and youth, and providing upskilling and reskilling opportunities for employee retention. This multifaceted approach addresses economic and social challenges, contributing to a fairer and more prosperous society.

WASH: Ensuring the right to Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) is crucial for health, nutrition, and education, especially impacting girls, women, and people with disabilities. Aligned with SDG 6, our strategy aims for universal access to safely managed WASH by 2030, prioritizing the poorest. TWF focuses on constructing and renovating toilets in institutions, promoting behavior change, providing safe drinking water, managing waste, and recognizing community-driven change. Through demand-driven construction, behavior change mechanisms, waste management, cleanliness drives, and technology-based monitoring, our efforts concentrate on achieving sustainable WASH solutions.

Emergency Preparedness and Response: The WE Foundation actively aids those impacted by floods and disasters, recognizing the rising number of climate-related events.

Green Energy: Our focus areas include promoting renewable energy adoption in off-grid areas, implementing energy efficiency programs, and providing training on renewable energy technologies. We aim to build local capacity, bridge energy access gaps with decentralized solutions, and execute green energy projects using evidence-based strategies.
